40-year-old man dead after S.E. shooting

A man is dead after an early morning shooting at a motel in Calgary’s southeast.
Calgary police got the call Saturday morning at 1 a.m. to reports of an altercation between two men at a motel in 1800 block of 50th Street S.E.
When CPS arrived on scene they found a man in his 40’s in life threatening condition and transported him to hospital, the man later succumbed to his injuries.
The identity of the man will not be released until an autopsy is completed on Monday.
The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and does not believe this was a random attack.
