ASIRT is investigating after an officer involved shooting northern Alberta

One man is dead following a police involved shooting on the Frog Lake First Nation, east of Edmonton.
It happened Thursday morning, mounties were called to a rural residence in which a standoff occurred for several hours.
At some point, late that evening there was a confrontation and one of the officers discharged their weapon.
No first responders were injured, Alberta’s police watchdog ASIRT has been directed to investigate.
