One person has died in a house fire in the northeast Calgary community of Tuxedo.

Firefighters were called out around 11:30 Saturday night to a home in the 100 block of 25th Avenue.

Upon arrival, crews were faced with a significant amount of smoke and flames showing from the inside, as well as the exterior of a single storey family home.
