Block party a highlight of Sled Island music festival

Thundercat, The Flaming Lips and other musicians are hitting the stage in Calgary for another edition of Sled Island.
The music festival starts Wednesday, bringing a combination of musicians, art and comedy shows to venues around the city.
Executive Director Maud Salvi said one of the big draws is Saturday’s block party in Inglewood.
“With live music during this whole time, we have the vintage market curated by Market Collective on site, as well as food trucks and beer gardens. It’s a really, really fun event,” she said.
The Sled Island Festival runs until Sunday.
