Calgary drivers to face delays on the roads

The City of Calgary is advising motorists about a number of significant traffic issues this weekend on Calgary roads.

For the second weekend in a row, a reminder that eastbound Glenmore Trail will be reduced to one lane and westbound Glenmore Trail will be reduced to two lanes between Deerfoot Trail and Blackfoot Trail S.E.

This closure will remain in place until 5 a.m. on Monday and accommodates the removal of an abandoned rail bridge.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, several roads in-and-around the downtown core and surrounding areas will be impacted by the Scotiabank Calgary Marathon. Motorists are advised to plan to take alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
