Flames prospect Nick Schneider made 36 saves in a record breaking night for the Hitmen goaltender.

Schneider setting a new franchise record for minutes played in a single season eclipsing the previous mark of 3,371 held by Alexander Fomitchev in 1997-98.

He also tied Fomitchev’s games played record of 60.

Scoreless after 40 minutes, the Tigers struck just 12 seconds into the final frame on a shot from Dylan MacPherson to open the scoring.

Calgary answered back as Tristen Nielsen scored even strength at 6:41 before Riley Stotts netted a power play goal at 13:01. Conner Chaulk then sealed the victory into the empty net at 19:29.

Carson Focht and Vladislav Yeryomenko both added a pair of assists for the Hitmen who improve to 5-3-4 in their last 12 games.

Medicine Hat outshot the visitors 37-23.

Calgary returns home to face Kootenay on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
