Police arrest two in death of Fletcher Kimmel

Calgary police have made a break in a year-old murder case by arresting two people.

It’s in connection to the disappearance and death of Fletcher Kimmel.

The 30-year-old was last seen on September 27, 2016, at a northeast convenience store and getting into a black SUV.

The case was treated as a missing persons file until Kimmel’s body was finally found on January 29, in the Jumpingpound Demonstration Forest west of Calgary.

After issuing a public appeal for more information this week, investigators made headway and have now placed two women in custody

Charges are pending against the pair, and their names will be released after a court appearance.
