Council to vote on Highland Park golf course re-development

The highly contentious plan to convert a northwest golf course into a high-density residential development could pass council Monday.

The Highland Village Green Development is up for third and final reading at city hall.

The plan calls for over 2,000 multi-family units to be built on the former Highland Park Golf Course.

Residents in the area are concerned over the loss of green space, and where water runoff will go.

They also say there was a lack of consultation, but the developer claims they’ve been talking to residents for over three years.
