AHS reports 30 cases of the mumps so far this year

Make it 30 confirmed cases of mumps in the province, according to the latest data from Alberta Health Services.
There have been nine confirmed cases in the last week, while there were just 12 total in 2016 and 2015 combined.
Of the 30, four are in the Calgary Zone, with 14 in Edmonton and another 12 in the South.
Mumps can cause swelling and pain in the glands of the jaw, while some may feel like they have a bad cold or influenza instead.
The best way to protect yourslef is through immunization.
