Charges laid in Pincher Creek shooting

Charges have been laid after a man allegedly fired a gun at two RCMP officers in Pincher Creek.
The Calgary Emergency Response Team was called to a home early Wednesday morning with reports of shots fired; officers told neighboring residents to stay inside and secured a nearby high school.
53-year-old Dewey Todd Starzyk surrendered after speaking with the RCMP without incident.
He has been charged with careless use of a firearm and failing to comply with conditions of a recognizance.
He will appear in court on Feburary 14.
