Alberta high school teacher accused of sex crimes against 3 students

BARRHEAD, Alta. – A high school teacher is facing charges of sexual exploitation against three students from a school north of Edmonton.

RCMP say a teacher is alleged to have used Snapchat, a social media video service popular with youth, to communicate with the students from Barrhead Composite high school.

Police say no physical contact was reported in the alleged incidents that began last October.

At the time the teacher was working at R. F. Staples in Westlock as well as the Barrhead high school.

Andrew Philip Jissink, 43, is charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a young person.

Jissink is set to appear in court on Feb. 14.
