RCMP link armed robberies in central Alberta

RCMP in the Red Deer area have linked several armed robberies targeting pubs and hotel bars.
They include holdups in Bentley, Sundre, Ponoka, Rimbey and Red Deer over the past several weeks. In most cases, men armed with guns and knives have walked into the bars and demanded cash, before taking off in waiting vehicles.
Most of the vehicles ended up being stolen and were found ditched.
The descriptions of the suspects are similar and RCMP are working on the assumption the same people are likely to blame.
No one was injured in any of these robberies and no shots were fired.
Authorities are hoping someone will provide a tip that breaks the case.
