Residents displaced after pipe bursts in condo building amid freezing conditions

Residents of a southwest condo building are cleaning up a real mess after a water pipe burst on the third floor.

The condo is in the community of Evergreen and has left several people displaced.

Officials say the flood ruined carpet, soaked the underlay and permeated the drywall.

The full extent of the damage will not be known until a technician is able to visit on Monday.

It is not what caused the pipe to burst.

Robert Chaskavich, who sits on the condo board, says they’ll have to wait for the technician’s report to know for certain.

“We have some residents in the building that are helping out other people they have family in town and just trying to help each other the best we can because we are a community that look outs for each other,” says Chaskavich.
