A new bus service connecting small communities outside the city to Calgary has its ribbon cutting ceremony Monday.
On-It Regional Transit officially hits the road October 11, as a two-year pilot project.
Colleen Shepherd, Executive Director of the Calgary Regional Partnership, says the busses run during peak morning and afternoon rush hours.
“For example, we’re offering through Black Diamond-Turner Valley, going up through Okotoks and then connecting to the LRT system in Calgary, and then we’re offering also from High River through Okotoks to Somerset-Bridlewood, and of course return,” she said.
Monthly passes are $155-$170, while a one-way ticket is $6-$8.
