Calgary Police Foundation starts new campaign to help city's youth

The Calgary Police Foundation kicked off its Get Framed For Kids campaign.

Kids were sporting new limited edition sunglasses that will be on sale at all city London Drug locations.

Executive Director of the CPF, Tara Robinson said funds raised will support community programs for youth.

“If we can get to the kids at this age, at a young age, if we put the right resources towards the kids at the right time, we know that they’ve got a far better chance at success,” Robinson said. “Staying in school, staying away from crime and not victimizing others.”

The sunglasses are $25 each.

“95 cents of every dollar that goes into the Calgary Police Foundation goes directly toward the youth,” Robinson added. “We don’t fund weapons, we don’t cop cars, we don’t fund the helicopter. It all goes directly into the youth.”
