It’s tragedy upon tragedy for a Fort McMurray deputy fire chief.
Cranley Ryan lost his teenage daughter while he was battling the blaze.
Emily Ryan has been identified as one of two who died in a car crash on one of the evacuation routes Wednesday.
She was travelling in an SUV with her cousin escaping the flames when it crashed into a transport truck on Highway 881.
Both died on scene.
The firefighter has been relieved of active duty to be with his family.
