The latest trend in lawn care: painted lawns

A winter without much precipitation is giving a boost to lawn care services both in Calgary and Edmonton.
Chris Kipfer of Bugs Lawn Care said homeowners looking for a simple solution are painting their brown grass green.
“We get lots of people laughing and we are the butt of many jokes and we love it, ” Kipfer said.
Kipfer said customers are increasing in Calgary because of dry conditions and after increased demand last year in Edmonton.
“(It offers) a solution that is instantaneous as opposed to having to hire a contractor, come out, rip out everything in the lawn, create a whole mess with construction,” Kipfer added.
Bugs Lawn Care isn’t the only company that provides the service, as Greensetter in Calgary does the same.
