Sunday: Public memorial for slain Edmonton Officer

Summary

Public visitation happens between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, at a northwest Edmonton church.

Members of the Edmonton Police Service Honour Guard will stand vigil at the visitation.

A full regimental funeral is planned in the province's capital on Wednesday, June 17th.

A public visitation will be held in Edmonton Sunday to honour slain police officer Constable Daniel Woodall.

Mourners can pay their respects to the fallen officer at the First Memorial Funeral Services Harmony Chapel, (10541 81 Avenue, Edmonton), in the city’s north west, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The 35 year old member of the Hate Crimes Unit was killed Monday while serving an arrest warrant to suspected gunman Norman Raddatz.

Members of the Edmonton Police Service Honour Guard will be on hand to watch over the closed casket at Sunday’s service.

A regimental funeral is scheduled Wednesday.

The Woodall Family Fund has been established at RBC, and the bank is accepting contributions at any branch.
