Calgary's Tool Library offers an affordable option for the handy at heart

Don’t want to buy a pricey table saw or an electric nail gun? Try the Tool Library.

The non-profit organization is based in Bridgeland and brings community members together to build and learn while sharing tools, skills, and knowledge with one another.

Founding member Liam Gordon tells City News how it works:

“It’s not free; it’s $40 a year, but with that $40 a year you get a membership to the BRCA, and you get to rent up to 6 to 7 tools per week and you get access to all our tools and our database of tools,” explained Gordon.

The volunteer-run group is a source of hundreds of high quality, in-demand tools for building small projects or repairing household items.
