The hot weather is shattering power consumption records in the province.
The Alberta Electric System Operator said last week they broke 2013 records, then broke them again Tuesday.
Angela Anderson with AESO said they anticipate breaking them yet again.
“We’re definitely expecting that to be broken again (Wednesday), everyone is keeping a close eye on what is happening with our generation and making sure the supply is doing well,” Anderson said.
She said there are no supply issues right now, as all of the major coal-powered generation plants are up and running.
