Toronto Mayor Ford tells Fox News he’s having fun

A smiling and laughing Mayor Rob Ford is unapologetic about his past drinking, in an interview with Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor.

It was recorded just days after the mayor’s chief of staff said Ford wouldn’t be doing any more media interviews for a while.

Despite appearing stressed and sometimes acting erratically in recent weeks, Ford now claims to be enjoying the situation.

“Are you having fun right now?,” Fox correspondent Jesse Waters asked.

“I’m loving it,” the mayor replied.

“You’re liking this?,” Waters asked.

“I’m loving it. My record speaks for itself. I apologized for my mistakes; I’m only human. I can’t change the past — what it is, it is,” Ford replied.

Although Ford admitted to “drunken stupors” and claiming to have given up alcohol, Ford said he doesn’t think his previous partying is a problem.

He also told Waters the controversy is an elaborate conspiracy to take him down.

“This is the biggest coup that you’re ever seen in North America,” Ford said.
