Air Canada pilot put on leave

An Air Canada pilot who freaked out on a flight and forced the plane to land last week has been placed on medical leave.
Officials say the episode was due to a previously undiagnosed ailment.
The man was flying from Calgary to Newark last Thursday, when he began screaming for help and demanded to get off the plane.
The Calgary Sun reports he had to be restrained by flight attendants until paramedics could meet him on the ground in Toronto.
Air Canada isn’t disclosing the nature of the medical issue.
