Last day of stampede and another record set

There’s one last day until the 100th edition of the Calgary Stampede rides into the sunset.

A monstrous crowd has been celebrating the centennial of the greatest outdoor show on earth.

This year’s Stampede has already set an all-time attendance record and it isn’t even finished yet.

More than one-million, 299-thousand people have visited Stampede Park already topping the previous record set in 2006.

The final day of Stampede will also be the most action packed. The rodeo finals begin this afternoon, and the chuckwagon finals are tonight at the grand-stand.

The richest heavy horse pull in North America is at 7pm tonight in the big top.

Canadian alternative rock band “Mother Mother” headlines the Coke stage tonight, and Grammy nominated country band Emerson Drive plays Nashville North.

The Centennial Stampede concludes with one last city-wide fireworks display!
