Western Heritage Day offers freebies to seniors

Tuesday is Western Heritage Day down at the grounds and that means free admission, food and drink for visitors 65 and over.

A morning show kicks off at 9 a.m. in the Stampede Corral where free coffee juice and donuts will be served.

CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Pam Tillis will perform at Nashville North at 12:30 until 3 p.m.

A marching band competition goes at the Saddledome at 1 p.m.

Seniors will also get 20 per cent off on all Stampede merchandise,  as well as free rides on the WestJet Skyride.

To top it all off, seniors can enjoy day reserved and standing room rodeo and evening tickets they can collect at the ticket office starting at 11 a.m.
