Centennial Stampede drawing near

The final countdown to Stampede 2012 is underway; only seven more days before the 100th Anniversary celebration of the Greatest Outdoor Show on earth kicks off.
Stampede spokesman Doug Fraser expects the crowd taking in this year’s parade will rival what we saw last year when the royals, Will and Kate, participated.
Fraser expects 350,000 people to line the streets at this year’s event adding that it depends on the weather but noted it has never rained on the parade.
Fraser also has some advice for those who haven’t yet bought tickets for the grandstand show or rodeo; he says some tickets for both shows are made available each day, so there is still an opportunity to be part of the excitement.
