VANCOUVER – A total of 200 people now face charges in last summer’s Stanley Cup riot in Vancouver.

Insp. Les Yeo says 25 suspected rioters were added to the list Friday, and police are working on forwarding more charges to the Crown.

So far, charges have been approved against 85 individuals.

Seven people have pleaded guilty to various offences including participating in a riot, break and enter and assaulting a police officer.

The June 15 riot erupted after the Vancouver Canucks lost in Game 7 to the Boston Bruins.

Rioters set vehicles on fire, smashed store windows and looted merchandise.
