Sonne G20 explosives verdict delayed after government re-opened case

TORONTO – The judge deliberating in the case of G20 activist Byron Sonne has delayed her verdict.

Ontario Superior Court Justice Nancy Spies was to have delivered her verdict on Monday.

However, the government briefly re-opened the case last week to allow fresh evidence after police found a chemical in the backyard of his former Toronto home.

Sonne is charged with having explosives and counselling mischief.

Spies did not give a new date for her verdict.
