A high level drug distributor has been arrested in Calgary.
A tip from officials in BC lead to the arrest of 30-year-old Calgarian, Alvin Lin, and the seizure of eight kilos of cocaine.
Sgt. Damon Poole says the drug was on its way to dealers in British Columbia.
“Certainly eight kilograms is a significant seizure with in the police world and is a fairly significant disruption in that criminal activity and a significant harm reduction to citizens of Alberta and BC,” said Poole.
Along with the cocaine, police found six ceramic plate ballistic, drug paraphernalia and $81,000 in cash.
