What about the Evergreen Line?

LOWER MAINLAND (NEWS1130) – It’s infuriating to be talking about a gondola to Burnaby Mountain while the Evergreen Line project sits in limbo. That’s how the Mayor of Port Moody feels; he says people in the Tri-Cities are not happy.
“The average rider or citizen of this area is saying ‘what is going on?” says Joe Trasolini, who thinks TransLink should be focusing on working on a different project that’s been in the works for what seems like forever.
“One wonders how long we have to wait for some sort of activity,” he tells us. “So these announcements that other things are being planned or that public consultations are going on — be it the gondola, or down the Broadway Corridor — it’s very unnerving!”
He understands TransLink has the responsibility to investigate further projects, but he would like to see the transportation authority pull through for the Evergreen line.
