Calgary man back home after Everest charity climb

Bill Borger is back home in Calgary a week after scaling the tallest mountain in the world.

The 35-year-old is the first Canadian and only the fifth person on the planet to have both climbed Mount Everest and swum the English Channel.

Borger’s efforts have raised $380,000 for the Calgary HandiBus Association; according to The Calgary Herald, the money will mean five new buses.

The vehicles will be able to transport the city’s disabled and elderly for at least a decade.
