Thirteen Nova Scotians get Juno nods

There are more than a dozen chances for Nova Scotians to walk away with hardware when the 2011 Juno awards are handed out next month.

Four Nova Scotia artists and seven artists with connections to the province are up for major awards.

Enfield-born rapper Classified is nominated for single of the year for his song “Oh Canada,” Chester’s Old Man Ludecke gets a nod for roots-traditional album of the year and Halifax hip-hopper Ghettosocks is up for rap recording of the year.

Haligonian Meaghan Smith is up for New Artist of the Year.
