Bulletins being distributed along Yellowhead Highway, in search for missing Alberta couple

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The search for an Alberta couple who went missing on their way to Abbotsford is going into high gear. The RCMP is now targetting businesses along the Yellowhead Highway, the route they would have taken on their way to the Lower Mainland.

While an extensive search into the backwoods near Edson, Alberta continues, Constable Patrick Webb says they are hoping the next break will come from someone who has seen the green Hyundai Tucson that the couple was towing behind their motorhome.

“We’ve sent out messages, posters, containing information pertaining to the missing people and their car, to all the law enforcement agencies. And we’ve also sent out public bulletins to as many commercial establishments as possible right along the Yellowhead, “he says.

He points out the hunt for clues has included an aerial search, a search and rescue ground search, and analysis of the debris where the couple’s charred motorhome was found.

Marie Ann and Lyle McCann left their St. Albert home July 3rd on their way to Abbotsford, but haven’t been seen since.
