Shots fired from car near G20 security fence not G20 related

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police said shots fired near the G20 security zone early Tuesday morning were not G20 related.

Several undercover officers heard the shots fired in the area of King and John streets, near the security fence that surrounds the G20 summit site.

They spotted a black car speeding away.

Police said they have made no arrests and no suspect has been identified.

No one was hit, but a number of shell casings were found at the scene.
