Tow trucks on major routes in Calgary deemed a success

The first day having tow trucks on major routes to clear crashes is being deemed a success.

Three problem vehicles were removed from Deerfoot, while another was plucked off Memorial Drive during the two rush hours.

The pilot project was approved by council last week, at a cost of $636,000 or just under $89 per hour.

Alderman Diane Colley-Urquhart tells The Calgary Herald, she’s happy to have the project underway and it shows how easily these problems can be solved.
