Mountie killed in Haitian Earthquake

The RCMP says one of its officers in Haiti has been found dead after Tuesday’s earthquake. RCMP Commissioner William Elliott confirmed the death of Sgt. Mark Gallagher of Nova Scotia and said efforts are continuing to locate Supt. Douglas Coates of Ottawa, who is still missing after the deadly quake. Elliot said the officers body was found in the rubble of his house in Port-au-Prince and he offered sympathies to Gallagher’s wife, Lisa, and children. At least four Canadians have now died as a result of the massive quake and four are still missing.
