CALGARY (660 NEWS) — The City of Calgary was investigating a sinkhole that appeared in the northeast on Wednesday afternoon.
The hole is in Huntington Hills, reducing northbound 4th Street to one lane between Hunterhorn Gate and 72nd Avenue.
The sinkhole was caused by a water main break. Crews are continuing to work on a solution to fix the hole.
It is believed the break could be due to the weather conditions, or possibly the condition of the pipe underground.
The city confirms they are still trying to determine the cause of the break.
